A.R.M. (ASSUMPTION RETIRED MEN): All retired men of Assumption Parish are welcome to affiliate with other men in this group for fellowship and service to the parish. There are no age limitations. The group provides an honor guard at funerals, helps decorate the church for the major liturgical seasons, sponsors a monthly continental breakfast for seniors, takes its turn in sponsoring the social hour after the Sunday Masses – and completes special tasks assigned by the pastor. The group meets monthly (usually the first Friday) for planning, fellowship and special presentations. The time and place are announced in the Sunday bulletin.
W.O.T.O. (WOMEN ON THEIR OWN): W.O.T.O. is a gathering for adult women who feel “on their own” in the Church because of widowhood, divorce, separation, single parenthood, a non-Catholic spouse or a vocation to the single life. It is not a club or organization with officers, dues and meetings – just an opportunity to come together for mutual support and fun. One Sunday afternoon each month the women come together for a potluck salad luncheon and a time of fun and fellowship. Friendships made at WOTO give women others with whom they can participate in other social and parish activities. Consistency in participation is welcomed but not essential.
